When we first went to see the farm, summer was in full swing and the hickory, oaks and black walnuts were fully clothed with leaves. It had been years since there had been much in the way of tree work, so while we loved the privacy and the green, it felt a little closed in. After buying the property, we set out to open up some of our tree lines and clear the deadwood. Imagine our delight when the Winter revealed a surprise Blue Ridge Mountain view. It was then we realized that the farm had its own stark beauty in wintertime- or in old English "Wyntertyde".
